Just download Apple CD ROM software set 5.04 it will do fine. I used it in a Mac PLus. It's the CD ROM extension and all the format-reader extensions like high sierra, etc. Use a SCSI cable with Centronics connectors at both ends to gang the CD ROM and external hard disk together, and a SCSI cable with a Centronics connector at one end and a 50 pin SCSI connector at the other to go into Your SE. Don't forget the terminator on the first SCSI device after the SE. > Also, I'd like to know how to take the RAM from the one and add it to the > one I just got (as the one I have came with some great software on it...but > the disks are bad...so I want to preserve the disks as long as I can.) If you're using an SE, there's only 4-one meg RAMsticks in it. You can get more 1 meg RAM for free just about anywhere. > If you could offer suggestions, I'd appreciate the assist. The limits on size are pretty much the operating system. I stop at 2 gigs in any compact. Access time is too slow for me any larger than that. > Tony > JEFF -- Compact Macs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/>.
