Ok....so why are some labelled Color Classic and others labelled Performa

It was all part of the selling technique for a period. Apple sold Performas more cheaply, and packages with software, while still selling the 'proper' versions to those who would pay.

A lot of Quadras and early PowerMacs went like that.

In the compact world,

Performa 200 = Classic II,
Performa 250 = CC
P 275 = CC II.

AND I NOW OWN A PERFORMA 250 AS OF THIS MORNING!

Thanks to Denis Eddy in Australia, I now own a Performa 250 - and the shipping weight was around 10g or half an ounce. That's how similar the CC and P250 are!

Stuart.
