a friend is wanting to connect a Peecee printer to her older Mac <hers is not
exactly a Cmpact Mac but to be fair it does use the same printer port as a
Compact) , the printer is a Hewlett Packard Deskjet 400, which seems to have the
Standard peecee printer connector not a Mac style round printer/serial cable
style plug. So is it possible to connect one, if not what are the Printer
cables I see on eBay with a round end Mac end and a Peecee Parallel connector on
the other end for? Also would HP's standard printer software work? I know that
the HP deskwriters my friends have used worked great. Any help would be
appreciated . truly the hybrid cable thing confuses me.
