I've got to hand it to you compactors, ya'll are a very tight bunch who are committed to the high ideal: computers that are inconspicuous in size and unthreatening to use despite their age. Consulting with you has been a treat.
I can admit to you that since my fully loaded SE/30 was stolen from my house over a year ago, I have tried to restore another SE/30 to that form -- without success. My patience with recovering a lost ideal and my material fascination with compact Macs has now come to an end. My wife has also provided me with unambiguous impetus: I've taken my five SE/30s to the local Goodwill store. :-( By now they are in the hands of folks who can hopefully make them work as good as possible, and make them useful. I've still got subscriptions to other LowEnd lists because of the Quadra 660av, 6100s, and the beige G3 I continue to harness for work and fun. So, I might see you there. Keep it real, compactors!
