As for messed up sending dates, I think that my policy will be that if I receive an email at a time when somewhere in the world it's the correct day, then I shan't be too worried about doing the time zone adjustments! There are more important things in life to worry about.
I've asked Dan about approval in principle, and will keep the list informed.
