I'm not familiar with that particular accelerator but I'll try to answer your question in general terms. Any accelerator (with the appropriate drivers) will make your SE run more quickly. However if we just needed a faster SE, most compact Mac hackers would just fit an SE/30 motherboard which is fully compatible with the Mac OS up to 7.5.5 and popular applications. If we're as contrary as Gamba, we then take our SE/30 and make it run versions of the Mac OS that Apple never conceived that anyone would be obtuse enough to attempt installing...
So is the Harris performer card a good thing? For a faster SE with no compatibility concerns, fit the SE/30 motherboard. The SE/30 is the fastest, most expandable compact Mac and the card fits an SE case without modification. If you prefer to take a walk on the wild side, grab the Harris card (for a modest price) and have some fun. Unfortunately, the Mac driver museum's accelerator section (http://www.macdrivermuseum.com/accel.shtml) doesn't list the Harris card drivers. However lots of accelerators and video cards are simply re-badged products from other companies so it is always worth trying trying other card drivers or posting a photo to see if anyone recognises it. Even if you are unable to get the card working in your SE, you'll always find someone who is interested in buying it and you'll learn more about your Mac while you try to get it going. And the big bonus is that if you get it working, there's every chance that your Mac SE will be different from 99.9% of the thousands that still work today.
