I have an external HD (scsi of course) that I would like to use for my Mac Plus. The only problem is, I need to reformat it (according to Drive Setup, I need a low-level format). I tried to reformat it with a Power Mac 7200/90 w/ os 8.6 & Drive Setup, and it gave me an "endless loop" for about 2 hours. Then I tried Norton DiskDoctor, which said it was locked, so I examined it anyway, and it crashed my PowerMac (I'm still able to start up). Any suggestions on how to format it?
