1.) Does the SE have a hd? Either internal or external?
2.) If so, take an Apple talk cable and, plug into both systems and boot
them up.
3.) Under the chooser in System 6, choose appletalk and set it as
active. Doing the same on the G3..
4.) For your port settings under TCP/IP with the G3, set it to etiher
Printer Port, or Modem Port, which ever one you plugged the Apple Talk cable
into.
5.) Check the modem settings, control panel (G3) and see that it is set
to either Printer, or modem to match the settings in TCP/IP.
6.) check for the same settings in the relevant controll panels on the
SE.
7.) Enable filesharing, and within that control panel, designate the hd
on the machine as shared, by clicking the check box.
8.) Give a password for both machines.
9.) Restart both computers after settings are complete..
10.) If everything is done correctly, you should be able to see the hd
of each computer on each other's screen. Simply drag and drop the files
across.
