I've tossed a lot of them with monitors that have burn-ins on them. I've switched monitors out of good ones to bad ones, but working on them, no matter how you do it is a back killer. I have a bedroom full, a closet full, and kind-of a museum upstairs including a TRS-80 Model 4P and multiples. I just tore up 2 SE-30s and sent their MBs to my brother in Thailand. Monitor burn-ins.
I also have an almost barn that's piled with Macs including 2 Mac IIFX's, both minimal systems. The one upstairs is worth saving.
I have taken most of my 2 drive Mac SE's and taken their good monitors out and put them in SE-30s.
My kids were all here when we put them in the huge garage. They are all gone now, and I am left with a this huge, cement-floored garage, that I have to clean out. I just put a 580 out on the porch, because it needs a IDE drive, and I couldn't get any of my IDE drives to work in it. So while putting it on the porch, the weight of it caused it to fall frontward, and I think I scratched the monitor.
I went to a sale in the city where they had, probably 24, 5200s for sale and about that many, 575s. I didn't attend the actual auction because I value my back more than computers and have to serious look at doing something with the garage.
I haven't seen any SE-Superdrives listed. Lots of FDHDs. On one of the Superdrives, I have a story by a young man who was sent out here because he burned the school's US Flag. :) Sorry, I just don't see that as a capitol offense. He thought he was a white supremist, but didn't realize he couldn't be one because he is American Indian. His story is on it. The two other kids involved were rich kids,so they didn't get kicked out of school, but being poor, he was the scapegoat.
I have two Sony wordprocessors that look like Macs except their two drives are side beside.
I hate to say it, but much of my stuff will end up in the junk yard, crushed with cars, since landfills are not the place to leave them. I have lots of Mac Pluses, a couple Mac 128KEs. Most in trash bags for protection. To my knowledge, I have no 128Ks and am not looking at acquiring them. I want to reduce not gain. But, ... I still drag stuff home, sometimes, from the used junk store. I've got a 17" Color Scanner that works perfectly, except I can't get it to scan the full 17 inches. Driver problem. Also have a smaller one. CC's yes. CCII's no. I also ruined one CC by dropping it on the street. Idiot. Only a fool with a bad back would lug one of those around.
My wife and my kids, now, think it is an OC, and probably a Psychiatrist would say the same, but ... heck, ... I almost have the same degree they do, so I won't buy into the OC nonsense. I'll gradually get the tin building straightened up, build some shelves and start counting. Hydrocordone helps with SEs, but not with 575, or heaven forbid, ... 5200. I would be willing to bet that every one of those 5200's had been fixed and worked beautifully because of the Apple Repair Program. They were well used! I had an immaculate 5200 that had been fixed and worked perfectly. My son took it to college and didn't cherish it like I did. So luckily, I have none of those that I have to move. And won't, either.
Sorry on the non-count.
