>From the "Take-apart" it looks like the LED lives on the Pushbutton Board 
which is connected to the chassis by a ribbon cable. Seems a real pain to 
get to it (essentially a complete teardown). Perhaps you can peer in the 
back after removing the logic board and try to see if the ribbon cable is 
a bit loose. Other than that, I wonder if the LED connection does not 
operate with the 575 logic board? Probably not, but...
