No, he's referring to a plastic clip with pins looking a little like the
Hellraiser character from horror films.

It came with accelerators for Mac Plusses and SEs.

It's a clip having long steel pins that allow the accelerator that clamps
above to make the proper transfer-contact with the pins on a 68000 CPU.

I had one on a something-or-other 68000 just last year. A bi troublesome as
contact depended on a snug fit which didn't always manage to remain.
