well, I certainly hit the motherlode on this one.

A friend I correspond with online through a BBS just let me know he was
going to throw away 30+ Macintoshes, unless I (or someone) claimed them.
The thought of 30 Macintoshes in a dumpster didn't appeal to me, so I told
him I'd take 'em. Of course, I don't have a need for over 30 Macs, but
I'd
love to find good homes for them. What I got:

COMPUTERS:
Mostly SEs of ALL configurations, probably around 20. Dual-800k, FDHD,
4/20's, 4/40's, etc. Most of them have no
burn-in at all, the rest it is very mild and honestly not noticable.
Around 7 SE/30's.
About 3 Classic II's, and 2 Classic's. Give or take one or two.
2 Macintosh IIsi's. One runs great (but the sound appears to be dead),
the
other gives me the disk request icon. I
don't hear a hard disk spin up, so I'm betting the hard disk is either
dead
or has been scavenged by someone who
 had it previous to me.
A Macintosh Performa 6200 PowerPC that I cannot get to start up for the
life
of me.
A Macintosh Centris 650 which boots and runs great (230-meg hard disk).
One Apple IIGS, in perfect working order with SCSI expansion and full
memory
add-on (this one is going in my
 collection :).

ACCESSORIES:
2 Kensington System Saver external cooling fan units for a Mac Plus.
About 6 external 800k 3.5" floppy drives.
One 5.25" Apple II/IIGS floppy drive.
HP DeskWriter printer.
Two Apple ImageWriter II printers. (Wasn't someone on the list just
looking
for one quite recently?)
One "AppleColor High-Resolution RBG Monitor".
An (old & large) external hard disk of some sort that doesn't appear to
work
(spins up, seeks, and then spins down
about 30 seconds later. i'll have to look into this).
Some sort of Gravis joystick.
About 5 external 14.4kbps modems.
At least one external 33.6kbps "speakerphone" modem. All modems are
Global
Village/Teleport brand.
About 6 ADB keyboards. No Plus-and-earlier style, sorry.
About 5 ADB mice. Some are the older square-ish design, some are the
newer
round design. Again, no Plus or
 earlier style serial mice.
A few SCSI cables.
An odd assortment of adapters that I don't recognize. One looks like it
might adapt a standard VGA monitor to a
 Macintosh. Not sure.
A few random compact Mac cases (Classic, SE, etc) with no innards other
than
the CRT. Might be nice to have
 as a backup, maybe?

So here's the skinny. I have not tested any of the above equipment,
except
for two Mac SE's (both of which worked fine and they both had 20MB hard
disks) and one Mac Classic that had an 80MB hard disk and (I believe) 8MB
RAM. I don't remember what the RAM situation was on the SE's. However,
NONE of these systems have less than 4MB. I tried out one of the external
800k drives-- worked fine. I used the same keyboard/mouse combination to
test the above three systems- worked fine. I also tested the above
AppleColor RGB monitor to test the Performa, IIsi's, and Centris. Works
great. I plan, over the next few days/week, to completely test each and
every system.

Also, there might be more stuff that I can't remember right now, so tell
me
what's on your wish list and I'll let you know if I have it. In addition,
there will probably be another shipment of hardware after I clear some of
this out of my apartment. I only got it this afternoon, and already my
girlfriend is letting me know what she thinks about the whole thing. :)

Ironically, all I really wanted out of all of this was to get a Plus
(working or not) with a good power supply board so I can swap out the dead
board in the Plus my grandfather gave me, and have been using faithfully
for
over ten years. Sadly, there was not a Plus to be found in all of this.
Therefor, I'll be willing to do a trade if someone on the list has a dead
(or working) Plus with a known GOOD power supply board. I pay for
shipping
the Plus, you pay shipping on whatever it is that you want.

Otherwise, here's the deal. Drop me a line if anything on the above list
interests you, or even if you have something on your wish list that wasn't
listed because there is still a chance I might have it. We'll work out
the
details based on *your* needs, as the systems' external physical
conditions
range from great to yellowing to scratched and battle-damaged with a
little
burn-in, but also I am willing to mix-and-match parts to create the
perfect
Compact Mac for you. A compact Mac on the highest end shouldn't go for
more
than $10 for a 'complete' system (Mac, keyboard, mouse). Just the units
themselves will be less. You get the jist. Also keep in mind there are
not
nearly as many keyboards and mice as there are units. This will be on a
first-come first-serve basis. Accessories- we'll discuss details.

Buyer pays shipping/packaging.

Whatever doesn't go here goes to eBay. :) Oh, and I *DO* plan to keep a
portion of these for my own collection.... ;)
