Damn. Installing some new RAM, turned on the SE/30 - got some startup chimes which I assumed indicated the memory was wrong. Fixing it up when...

...when there was a tiny slip. The tiniest of slips. Just a small knock. A small knock which seemes to have ended the life of my tube. I heard a small hissing sound, and now the tube isn't switching on.

Bugger.

One dead SE/30. However...the logic board is still making the chiming sounds, the drive is still spinning up...and I've got a standard SE sitting in a corner as well. I was going to eBay it off once this upgrade was finished, but now it looks as if it might be a sacrifical Mac to get the SE back to life.

SE to SE/30 - easy or hard? Do I just swap the motherboard and floppy disk over?

Cheers,
Ian
