Hi Skipp- I'll bet 100 bucks your problem is with a certain solder location (or locations) on your analog board. Over time, due to constant heating and cooling, the solder can become brittle and eventually crack making for an unstable connection. This is usually the beginning of a condition that worsens with time. When this condition sets in, I usually just swap out the analog/video board for a known good one. If you're handy with a soldering iron, you can attempt to repair the problem instead, however. I don't know what the exact solder joints you want to look at are on an SE, I am more familiar with this problem on a Mac Plus. I'm sure someone else here on the list can point you in the direction of which solder locations to look at.
I suppose it could also be caused by a loose grounding wire, too... You might want to check that out, first. -Nat ----- Original Message ----- From: "John F.
