Another problem can be an internal hard drive. Sometimes, if it's full 
height and too close to the bottom of the CRT it can interfere. In 
fact, it can also happen if it's not full height but it's badly built, 
or whatever. I usually take the HD out of my compacts - I figure the 
less heat and power strain inside the box the better, and it seems to 
stop this problem.
