Assuming this is System 7.5.3 and the 7.5.5 updater from Apple's
website, you aren't dealing with floppy disk images. If need be,
I can download 7.0.1 from Apple's FTP site, write them to floppies,
then use dd to create raw disk images for you.

System 6 supports TCP/IP with MacTCP installed (available as a
developer kit from Apple's FTP site). System 7.5.5 uses Open
Transport, which is big an clumsy IMHO. On the other hand, it
supports DHCP.

Most ADB peripherals will work on the SE/30. That includes the
IIgs keyboard (which is great for small hands), and the latest
trackballs (I picked up an ADB/USB model for my PowerBook, and it
will happily run on my IIgs or Colour Classic.)
