I was joking about the collecting issue. Seriously,
though, I use that Plus for writing and even running
some of the older astronomy apps. I actually have an
upgraded 128-to-a-Plus and a beige Plus, but my
platinum late model Plus is the cat's meow. In our
kitchen, there resides a Classic II that is used as a
high-end recipe machine. Additionally, I also have an
SE/30 that needs a home.
As far as operating temps are concerned. I've had my
Plus outside on a number of nights where the temps
dropped well below 0 degree Celsius (10 degree
Farhenheit range) with no problems on that end. The
higher temps are the big question, obviously. I've
heard they shouldn't go over 120 Farhenheit, but can't
confirm this. Even if I return to Florida (really a
question of when), I doubt that will ever happen. It
is a point of concern, however.
