If only you could make understand many of them that all versions of Word (and almost all word processors) can read/write "another format called RTF"... Back on topic, I have used RTF several times to transfer documents between my Classic running System 6.0.7 and Word 5.0, and my PC running Windows XP and Word XP, both ways, keeping almost 100% of the text formatting. I do love it! That's my main reason for not using WriteNow or MacWrite: they can't read or write any standard formats besides their own.
