If it's not going to be used in any way/shape/form then yes, I'd remove
the battery.
If it's in, then there's a chance that it could leak with age.

  Hi all,

  A good question,

I have a compact Mac that is, how shall I say, is in "pristine"
condition.
My intentions is to keep it for awhile. Should I take out the battery
for
  this period?????
