Can anyone tell me what the "standard" external hard disk was like?

I have a beige external SCSI case that sits under the Apple Mac Plus, but its not Apple branded and is made by a UK company, its model name is "S20+", so I think this is probably an after market purchase.

I would prefer to get hold of an original Apple one if possible, I don't expect the drive to work, but it would be nice to have the original case.

Also, if anyone in the UK has one spare in the UK - please contact me :)

Especially in the UK, Apple brand external HDs were so expensive and so late in hitting these shores that 99% of the external HDs I've seen from that era were made by other people, often to fit under the compact Mac.

For example, a 1987 issue of MacTimes, a UK subscription magazine, which I happen to have around (!) lists:

Qdisk: 20Mb 695 (probably +VAT). The Apple equivalent would have been more than that.
