I gave up on using an SE/30 for browsing, BUT I understand that early versions of Netscape ( with unfreezing patches etc applied ) work acceptably. Check out Jag's site, and "getting your Compact Mac on the Web" section, for details and suggested software suites.

Good luck!

Hello,

I have just installed OT/PPP on my SE/30, and now I can finally get on the
internet with it using the Performa 6400 with NetBSD as a router. NetBSD's
serial port support is so flaky that the connection is lost with literally
every page I view, but still I have a question: what is a usable webbrowser?
I have tried wannabe, but it does not even do forms, and I tried iCab, which
will start but do nothing - no browser window appears and all the menus
simply do not do anything. Would IE 2.1 or 3.0 be a good choice?

Thanks in advance,
Daan.
