Hi, I was given a Macintosh SE Dual Floppy computer yesterday. It came with a modem, so I'm wondering how to get it on the internet. Will it be able to go to any web page, or will it only be able to go on certain web pages?
Technically speaking, you will be able to go on almost any web page, using MacTCP and some PPP client (haven't tried PPP). But you will hardly be able, to display any of them in a useful way. No images, problems with tables, crashing browsers. I was playing around with some Browsers on my SE. The most useful (i.e. the only one that did not crash my whole system seconds or minutes after startup) was MacLynx - Text-only
But the SE still a cool machine for emailing etc., even serving webpages worked well.

PS: there was someone on this thread mentioning Sonnet Allegros on eBay. I must have missed them during my holidays, ****. Does anyone know a place to buy (online) one of them?
