I have been able to transfer files to/from a external SCSI drive using TransMac and an USB-to-SCSI adapter, which is a more strange combination. Basilisk II has configuration options to control which SCSI devices should it access, so the only things you should do is to attach the drive to the PC (take care of cabling, IDs and termination), and tell Basilisk to use the drive's ID.
