I assume this is the only SCSI device you've got hooked up to your Plus
when you're trying to get it work? If you have another SCSI device hooked
up to the machine, make sure that it has a differnet SCSI ID. If you are
using some kind of dial or push button on the case to set the HD's ID,
make sure it is hooked up to the hard drive. On older cases, the ID
selecor switch may only fit the original drive, so if the 357M drive
isn't the original drive, the switch may not be connected to the HD at
all. I'll guess that this is not your problem though, since it is likely
that this drive is the only SCSI device on your Plus.

One thing I don't recall hearing on this thread is the utility Mt.
Everything. Perhaps it isn't compatible with the Plus (chime in, fellow
listers!) If it is compatible, perhaps that will allow your Plus to see
the drive and hence, allow it to be formatted (to the 3:1 interleave
mentioned).

However, someone previously mentioned the termination power issue, which
is unique to the Plus (I think). If I had to guess, that's where you're
problem lies if the drive is seen by other Macs.

I hope some of this helps, or at least gives another lister an idea as to
how to help,

J White
