Hi,

I do have an hp surestore 9200 for years now.
It did work very well behind a 486 and later a pentium 1 pc
Also it is scsi, I never tried it on my old macs

So, peter, if you live in europe, you may trash those by me ;-)


Less OT,
The problem might also be the power supply
A cd writer needs more current than a cd reader !
Check the specs of both products
