A CC won't start up with a dead PRAM battery. It's on the motherboard. It's
been so long since I've had my CC (I gave it to my brother) that I don't
remember what type battery it had but I did get a replacement at Radio
Shack.

I got mine from a thrift shop for $1. It had "does not boot" crayoned on the
screen. After changing the PRAM, it worked great!
