No, it's true! Durham University Physics department still teaches all its students Fortran - Fortran 95, but it's still Fortran. Recently they've relented and will allow students to "submit work in C++, but no support will be available for students who choose to do so." In actual fact, Fortran is still used *VERY* widely in the world of Physics!
