OK, Guys,
I've been asking Dan for six months now about the idea of allowing strictly controlled sa les and wants on this email list. I've given up waiting for a reply, and now make the following proposal. If the vote is in favour, and Dan doesn't like it, then he can have my resignation.
I propose that the following comes into effect on 1st November 2005:
1. List members may post items for sa le or wanted on Mondays, local time.
2. No commercial postings are allowed.
3. No on-list discussions of prices or comments about sellers are allowed.
4. All responses must be taken off list.
5. Items must be directly related to Compact Macs. No generic stuff like printers. Original system software may be traded, but not copies and not games software.
6. Sellers should normally be willing to send anything but complete computers or cases globally, provided the buyer pays full costs. Postings should indicate the location of the seller/wanter.
7. The list-nanny's decision in all things is final - as always.
Comments, please, but let's try to keep things simple!
