A few days ago, I bought an SE 1/40 on eBay from a German seller who listed as being willing to ship within Europe.
Two attempts (one in my very poor German) to get a shipping cost have brought no response at all.
If a native German speaker would be willing to email him to see what the problem is, I'd be most grateful. Please email me first, and get the URL, so that he isn't inundated with questions!
