The Mac classic's sound output is stereo, I believe. But the 68000
Motorola processor, which is what the Classic uses, is not capable of
decoding the MP3 format. There is a program called MPEGdec, which plays
MP3s on old Macs, but I think the earliest computers it worked well on
were 68030-processor macs. Yes, you can run linux on old Macs like the
Classic, but they don't usually have a very good, if any, GUI. Which is
fine if you aren't seeking a graphical user interface. Search on Google
for a 68k Mac Linux to download. One problem though is getting it onto
the Classic. If you already have a Floppy-equipped Mac with internet,
it'll be ok, but if not then it could be quite a challenge to get it
running on the classic. Just out of curiosity, what is your Classic's
specs? Hard drive size, RAM, system software, etc. Sorry if this is
hard to comprehend; I don't know Spanish well :(
