Can someone explain to me what they mean by SimasiMac?

I have started playing with my Compacts again, and my SE/30 has died. :( I think it's a SimasiMac, but I'm not (yet) brave enough to swap out the caps on the motherboard. I have a friend who's good at soldering, so I need to take him to dinner again so he can get that fixed for me.
Also, I want to make an SE/40 as I see Norman Jagnow has done, along with Stuart Bell (You've done some way cool stuff Stuart). I just don't know where to get a 9" monitor... any thoughts on that?
I would be doing more with these compacts if my broken SE/30 wasn't the fastest thing I had... :/
