hey Powerbook People:
the following listers all promised to host the Powerbook battery-rebuilding guide and then post links. I've sent the files to each, and since none has posted links, I'm providing the contact info I have so anyone needing this information may DL it. This information applies to any rechargeable-cell device, not just Powerbooks. Many thanks to these three:
h t t p macs.freeshell.org (Bob Crowell's webpage)
JosephC22 @ aol.com (email address)
catchall @ calypso.org.uk (email address)
I also included in the files, schematics and instructions for building a high-current regulated supply for safely running 100-series Powerbooks from car power. With adjustment, this circuit can provide any voltage from 1.5 to 9 VDC at currents as high as 5A, filtered and regulated.
Also, The Pickle graciously agreed to host these files, so they may be on his FAQ page, I haven't looked. Hopefully this information will diffuse thru the net a little, so that it may be found when people need it. Cheers : )
