Hi Anyone, I'm new to this list but have been on others for a couple of years. I want to loan a friend an LC 575. It had OS 7.5.3 on it and I want to put 8.1. So I goofed around a little and now the HD will not mount or show up at all. I tried Disk Tools from 7.5.3, Norton Utilities, Techtool Pro, then went to OS 8.1 CD, loaded it and tried Disk First Aid and Drive Set Up. Drive Set Up shows: Type " SCSI " Buss " 0 " ID " 0 " Num " 0 " and Volume Name " no disk ". When I try to load to disk I get " A Valid Volume Can't Be Found ". I know there is a good mounting program somewhere. Help !
