thanks, I know about his website. unfortunately there isn't any information other than a few pictures of the card and wiring he made. I've emailed him several times and all my emails bounced back (mailbox full) except one, to which I got no reply. I've managed to track down a few parts sheets for the chips on the color 30 board which have leads going to its grayscale port, which helped me figure out the majority of its pinouts and make educated guesses about the remaining ones based on the preliminary schematics in its patent (US pat 5,307,083). The patent also has a circuit schematic of the crt amplifier, but without the specific values of the components (resistor values, capacitor values, etc.) Without any help i'm guessing my next step is to find a book on amplifier design to see if I can figure it out. Do you know of any? One idea I had was to find an old B&W TV with a similar crt and maybe adapt its crt amp somehow. LOL Another is finding someone closeby who has one of these in their se/30 who would be willing to let me take a look at it. That would be the easiest way to get the info I need. anyway thanks for your response and if you can give me any other input feel free. here is the site I found with the parts sheets if you are interested: http://www.datasheetarchive.com/datasheet/pdf/1 It is VERY useful.

I have an xceed color 30 board and would like to use it with my se/30 for
the internal grayscale on the internal crt. Unfortunately I don't have the
crt amplifier 30 daughtercard or the related wiring. I'm sure noone who has
one of these wants to give it up, but I figured I would ask. At the very
least I would be interested in plans/schematics for building the card and
wiring harness. Any such information regarding these parts would be
GREATLY appreciated. I am in the long island new york area.

Gamba, who was on this list, was selling the grayscale adapter, or rather a clone of it. I'm pretty sure he still had some left--or the parts to assemble more. However, he's dropped off the list and no one has heard from him (or is admitting to hearing from him) in quite a while. He has a very informative web site (whose URL I don't have handy at the moment but Google would probably turn it up). You might try any contact info you cna find there, but the prospects seem poor.
