In 1984 our school district bought an Imagewriter for $486.50. In
1985 they were $473. In 1986 we bought our first Imagewriter II for
$480.

1990...is this one made out of leftover parts? (I know
Apple dealers had SEs on hand for the first few months
of 1991, but I always thought they were leftovers from
earlier).
Finally, I found an ImageWriter with a date code of
1994. I knew ImageWriter IIs were still being made as
late as 1996, but does anyone know if the price was
finally reduced around the mid 1990s? I came to the
school I will be retiring from in 1995 and I know we
didn't order any ImageWriters during my stay there,
and I know the school I was at had more than enough
when I was there from 1992-1995 (1992 was my first
year in IT). Therefore I didn't have to see any prices
on the printers for a long time, but I know they were
still around $450 or so in 1992 unless my memory has
failed me.
