They did change the NOS during production, they came with a 1.3 ROm
or a 2.0 ROM. There are some updates for each tha tyou can download
but its not possible to upgrade from 1.30 to 2.0 without a ROM
switch. If you have a 1.3, it's limiting for network stuff. If you
have a 2.0, it's still pretty limiting for network stuff. Spare ROMs
are made of unobtainium but you can transplant one from a dead
MP120/2.0 if you get one on ebay or whereever.
For limited internet use, you need a MP130 (OS 2.0) but for best
effective use you need a 2100 (OS 2.1). A 120 /2.0 can do some
serial P and limited email, but it's a bit hard- heap space is quite
limited. that said, I did make it work, sort of, for a while. For a
stand-alone PDA, it would be fine.
