Well, there's really three types of analogs: -one for the 128K, 512K, 512Ke, and Plus -one for the SE and SE/30 -one for the Classic and Classic II
They don't seem to be interchangeable since each is designed to fit a specific form factor. The SE ones are noteable for their humongous power supplies, the Classic/Classic II ones have a cable for connecting an internal hard drive. Keep in mind that the power on each one is different. An SE eats up more power than a Classic. Since each case was designed differently it seems impossible that Apple would have designed them to work with each other. Keep your SEs in your SEs, your Classics in your Classics, and your old Macs in your old Macs. If you do need a new power supply for an old Mac the ones in the platinum Pluses seemed the most reliable. I've noticed that on Classic boards that the newer ones, specifically those found in the Classic II, have dark red anode caps while the ones from older Classics have light red. No difference, though, just an observation. On all computers the cap seems darker if the CRT was made by Samsung rather than Clinton. --- [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: > Does the analog board for the Mac > 128K/512K/512KE/Plus fit or work in other > compact Macs such as the SE, SE30, Classic, Classic > II, Color Classic or > Color Classic II?
