The problem with the Classic II is that when you switch it on, it doesn't beep, 
its brightness is very low, and instead of displaying the standard grayscale 
pattern when it checks the RAM, it has broad (maybe 32 pixel wide) black 
and white vertical stripes with random pixellation on top of them.

I assume this has something to do with a bad ROM or bad video RAM (the 
video RAM is in the 2M that is soldered to the motherboard).

In any case, I've already found a new home for the SE/30 and Classic 2. I 
could probably have fixed and sold the SE/30 myself, but I really don't have 
the time. I'm glad it went to someone whofixes and sells old Macs as a 
hobby.
