I bought a Mac 512K off ebay, and downloaded some 400K boot floppies
from http://homepage.mac.com/chinesemac/earlymacs/disk_images.html
but the Mac seems to be playing up. It never has a problem with the
question mark prompt, but usually, when booting System 3.2 it gives
a Sad Mac error 0F0064, and when booting System 2.0 it gives a bomb
ID=26 when I try to open any application from the Finder.

Is this more likely to be due to bad RAM or a bad floppy drive?

If I need to replace the RAM, is there anything stopping me from
using one megabit chips from an 8-chip 1M SIMM (to give me 2M of
RAM), or would I need to fit a different memory controller chip?
