No, this is not fixed in Compiz Fusion 0.7.6. The bug is caused by XFixes, not something eZoom does (that is; eZoom uses XFixes. XFixes bugs up.). While http://bugs.opencompositing.org/show_bug.cgi?id=409 is the eZoom-filed bug, it's closed because, well it's not a Compiz Fusion issue...
