There is nothing useful that has ever come out of this development group. -- Nothing that can extend beyond aesthetics in Linux, anyways. There are far more conceptually intriguing projects out there, which involve everything from the very simple, like simple scripted tools for complex daily tasks, to the very complex, which present wholly new applications to solve on-going problems. In effect, the problem is, this isn't a contribution to the OS on a whole -- anyone with an application for Linux, independent from anything that relates back to the core utilities, or the above-mentioned, and having survived (i.e., considered useful) for more than a year or so, is (or comes across) most probably with the same concerns.
Hell, if the Metisse guys devoted more time, they could have something with sustained growth. ak _______________________________________________ compiz mailing list compiz@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/compiz
