Which version of Compiz do you use? It was removed from Debian more than a year ago [1], because its maintainership turned out to be a very difficult task. The latest version of Compiz is available in lp:compiz Bazaar branch (if you don't like Bazaar, you can use git-bzr to clone it). [1]: https://bugs.debian.org/719870 -- Dmitry Shachnev
