If Ubuntu developers refuse to patch compiz (which can be understood), and if the same developers reckon that compiz behaviour is wrong (which I suppose they do), and if upstream refuses to fix this bug (which seems to be the case), there remain only two solutions: - create a plugin for compiz that enables the correct behaviour, provide it with ubuntu, and enable it by default. - remove compiz from Ubuntu.
