Thanks for confirming, Rüdiger Kupper. I guess I may need to file a new bug report for this. I wasn't sure since the new driver isn't part of an official release yet.
Personally, I don't mind "None" mode (Compiz disabled) but I worry that first-timers will be very turned off if they try Ubuntu (or any other Linux distro using this NVIDIA driver) and see this kind of scrolling.
