The login/logout plugin is meant for compatibility with KDE and is thus
configured for KDE so you would have to configure it to work with GNOME
before it'll do anything.

"Login/Logout" does not seem to be doing anything for me. Also, could it be
combined with "Splash" to make a (although non Compiz) nice looking login
option?
