Re: #40: All "Key(s) to change layout" options were already deselected for me, so it doesn't appear related to the problem I am experiencing.
Re: #30: Gconf-editor already has the correct compiz keybindings: <Shift><Alt>Tab is listed as the key for prev_key in the static switcher plugin, even though it doesn't work. I reassigned a different keybinding, then changed it back and it now works. It did NOT work when I simply tried to disable the prev_key binding and then re-enable. I had to change it to something else (I used <Control><Alt>T) and change it back.
