I have assigned the right-upper active corner to the 'Window Picker' and
the left to the 'Expo' Compiz effect. When I left-click for the second
time on the clock applet in order to hide it those two upper active
corners seize functioning. They only start functioning again if click on
some other item on the panel.
I am using Ubuntu 10.04 desktop edition x86.
The gnome-panel package version is 1:2.30.0-0ubuntu1
