As a workaround I added compiz as startup APplication: System -> Preferences -> Startup Applications -> Startup Programs -> Add -> Command -> 'compiz --replace'. Maybe reinstall of the Hardware Drivers will work. I'm not going to try this now, with 9.10 I replaced a module to have a watermark 'unsupported hardware' removed (ATI Radeon HD 5700 Series).
