I have the same problem as well. I cannot unlock Login Screen Settings. I looked for a resolution and used the following:
1. Open Terminal. 2. Open the custom.conf file with gedit: gksu gedit /etc/gdm/custom.conf 3. Enter configuration values: [daemon] AutomaticLoginEnable=true AutomaticLogin=lani 4. Reboot. The unlock works and the automatic login is set. But after shutdown or reboot the Login Screen Settings has been reset to manual login and unlock does not work. ** Attachment added: "Lucid Lynx error screenshot" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/50997542/Lucid_Lynx_error_screenshot.JPG -- Login Screen Settings greyed out and unlock button non-responsive https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/570885 You received this bug notification because you are a member of compiz packagers, which is subscribed to compiz in ubuntu. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~compiz Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~compiz More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
