I'm not sure this is a dupe - #140860 states that the issue does not
appear in metacity, however I now have this problem in both compiz and
metacity. Just verified again in Ubuntu Lucid Lynx, same machine as 18
months ago in #6.
#235806 states that a fix was released in Karmic several months ago,
however I am still having this problem.
David's summary in #9 is the most accurate description of the fault.
